I have had a very productive day at the library.\u00a0 My focus was on PLANNING!\u00a0 I created a detailed spreadsheet that captured all of the feedback that I have received over the past three months.\u00a0 The spreadsheet includes input from\u00a0both of my supervisors, participants at the Wisconsin seminar, an academic in the field, and last, but not least, my comments.\u00a0 Suffice it to say that the spreadsheet has a lot of rows!!\u00a0 After completing this document I\u00a0 spent 90 minutes compiling a companion project plan with key milestones.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0second document was very\u00a0useful as it has helped me to\u00a0realize that,\u00a0I will only be able to submit before year end if everything goes according to plan.\u00a0\u00a0One thing that I have learned with my thesis is that nothing goes according to plan, it always takes longer!!\u00a0As a result I have decided to book the\u00a0first two weeks off work in January to provide a buffer for myself in order to complete\u00a0the thesis.<\/p>\n
Overall, I am feeling positive.\u00a0 There is a lot to do but I feel well equipped to tackle the tasks ahead.\u00a0 Also, I have only a three small work trips planned for the next two months so I should be able to get better traction during a few evenings each week.<\/p>\n
